Business Leases

If you are taking a lease of new premises, it is vitally important that you get advice on the lease. Many leases run to 50 pages in length and are designed to benefit the landlord in every possible way. Without advice, you will not know what you are taking on.

For example, if your lease ends on 1st January, either you or your landlord must serve a notice in advance in a prescribed form to terminate it on that day. If no notice is served, the lease, and your liability to pay rent, will continue, if you are still trading from the premises.

Bernard Ory can advise you on your lease and try and get it amended to be more favourable to you.

If you would like to talk to someone about business leases, please contact Bernard at our Mansfield office on 01623 460444.
